1. Who we are

lolgap (“we”, “us”) is a fan-made statistics site for League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics. This policy explains what data we process, why, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).

2. What data we process

• Public game data.When you search for a summoner we fetch publicly available match and ranking data from Riot Games’ official API. We do not link this to your identity.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect against abuse. This is necessary for operating the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Local storage.We store your recent searches and interface preferences (theme, language, game) in your browser’s local storage. This never leaves your device and sets no cookies.
• Advertising. See section 4.

3. Cookies & consent

We do not set advertising or analytics cookies before you consent. Where required (EEA, UK, Switzerland) we ask for your consent through a banner on your first visit, using Google’s Consent Mode, with separate toggles for advertising (Google AdSense) and statistics (Google Analytics). Until you agree, advertising and analytics storage stay denied.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via Cookie settings.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to show ads. If you consent, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure personalised ads based on your visits. If you decline, Google serves only non-personalised ads and stores no advertising cookies on the basis of your consent.

Google acts as an independent controller for the data it collects. You can review Google’s practices and opt-out options at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and manage ad personalisation at myadcenter.google.com.

5. Analytics (Google Analytics)

If you consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used (e.g. which pages are visited) so we can improve it. Analytics cookies are only set after you agree via the statistics toggle in our cookie settings, and you can withdraw consent at any time. You can learn more at policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address above.
